Renaissance Florence

The Renaissance started in Florence in the 14th century, and lasted to the 17th century, spreading throughout the rest of Italy and Europe. This period of rebirth after the Middle Ages saw great strides in art, architecture, and design.

Signs of the Renaissance can be found all over the city–Florence is a living Renaissance museum.
